Prescott Public Library

Prescott Public Library Youth Services has launched a new podcast called Librarians Telling Tales. Miss Jennifer, Miss Amy and Miss Blair share everything they love about libraries: books, people and bonding! You can expect to hear discussions and reviews on the latest and most important reading for young people, upcoming library events and “Readers Rave†where you can share your favorite books.

Prescott Police Department

Prescott Police will be conducting additional traffic checks on Willow Creek Road beginning today. Officers focus their efforts on dangerous and reckless infractions, including speeding, red light infractions and other egregious infractions. This is done with the aim of slowing down the traffic in order to reduce serious traffic accidents.

Remember that road safety is the responsibility of every driver.

Adolescent Working Group

The Teen Task Force’s first annual Fall Fashion and Talent Show takes place this Saturday, September 25 at 4 p.m. Apricot Lane clothing will be presented.

On their website, they explain, “Our goal is for every kid to participate backstage and on the catwalk to get a new winter coat, shoes and back-to-school clothes.

The Teen Task Force exists to empower young people through connection and community.

Community meeting

All are invited to participate in a community meeting specifically for the Granite Creek Regional Plan. It will be held on Zoom on September 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please register in advance.


Ad hoc committee

Arizona House of Representatives establishes ad hoc committee to improve forest and forest fire management in Arizona. The goal is to closely examine forest and wildfire management practices and policies to assess potential improvements to minimize the impact of these fires on Arizona residents and the environment. It is something that affects our whole condition.
I am very happy to learn more about this effort and would like to express my support and appreciation to the Legislature. Forest fires have greatly affected our community and are still a threat in our region.

15th Annual Prescott Vette Sette All Corvette Show

The 15th Annual Prescott Vette Sette All Corvette Show will take place on Saturday, September 25 in downtown Prescott from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. Take a stroll through the city center and enjoy these cars on display. Don’t forget to stop by and visit our downtown businesses.

Then you can get into your own car and drive to the 10th Annual Fall Classic Car Show in front of Sally B’s Cafe in Prescott Valley, also from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Trash Bash Trailer

The Trailer Trash Bash / Benefitting Veterans will take place on Saturday, September 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. Trashy attire is required. Music by Wheelhouse, $ 20 per person at the door and it’s for a good cause. This is presented by the Wayward Men.


Dance for the stars

There is still time to get your tickets for the Dancing for the Stars event which will take place on Saturday October 2nd. This great event raises funds for boys and girls clubs in central Arizona. All profits remain local.

The 2021 event will take place at the Hendrix Auditorium at Mile High Middle School in downtown Prescott. In the meantime, you can visit their website, purchase tickets, and vote for the team you hope to win!

Nonprofit Highlight: Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Arizona

The Boys and Girls Clubs of central Arizona make an enormous contribution to our community, serving the needs of local families. Their vision is to recognize the greatness of each club member and help them become great citizens of the community. They offer after-school and summer programs to provide a safe environment for children, focusing on:
